Accurate tables
Text from normal PDFs is copied exactly. Ruled, boxed and borderless tables keep their rows and columns, merged header cells and descriptions that run over two lines.
Need to get a table from a PDF into Excel? Copying it by hand is slow and easy to get wrong. This PDF to Excel converter finds the tables on every page of your PDF document, puts each value in the right row and column, and turns amounts, percentages and dates into real Excel numbers you can add up. Scanned pages and phone photos are read with text recognition (OCR).
One PDF file
Your PDF is converted on our own server and deleted as soon as the conversion ends. It is never stored or shared.
How it works
Why use it
Text from normal PDFs is copied exactly. Ruled, boxed and borderless tables keep their rows and columns, merged header cells and descriptions that run over two lines.
Tilted scans, sideways pages and phone photos are straightened before they are read. Numbers stay numbers, and codes such as 0012 keep their leading zeros.
Nothing goes into your spreadsheet unchecked: you see every table first, fix what needs fixing and only then download.
Questions, answered
Choose your PDF above. The converter reads every page, shows the tables it found, and lets you correct any cell. Then click Download Excel (.xlsx) and open the file in Excel, Google Sheets or LibreOffice. No sign-up is needed.
Yes, on this page only. To read tables, the PDF is sent to our own server, converted in memory and deleted as soon as the conversion ends (at most 15 minutes later). It is never stored, shared or used for anything else. All our other tools work inside your browser without uploading.
Up to 25 pages and 20 MB per file. Normal (digital) PDFs are unlimited. Scanned pages take much more work, so each visitor can convert 25 scanned pages in any 24 hours.
Yes. Statements without lines are split into date, description, debit, credit and balance columns, and descriptions that wrap onto a second line stay in one cell.
Clear scans are read almost perfectly. Blurry photos, handwriting and very small print give weaker results, and letters such as I and l can be confused. That is why every table is shown for checking before you download.
